From a backlog of long videos to a batch of shorts
The batch workspace is built for volume. Add up to 20 long recordings, describe the result once, set how many clips you want (up to 200) and ToClips shares that number out across the sources in proportion to their length. Every clip is rendered in each aspect ratio you select, with captions burned in, a subtitle file and a cover image.
Platform presets adjust the style of titles, hooks and hashtags for YouTube Shorts, Douyin, Xiaohongshu or a neutral “generic” target. Covers are produced at 3:4 (1080×1440) for Xiaohongshu; for other platforms they follow your first aspect ratio.
Output sizes
- 9:16 — 1080×1920, for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok
- 4:5 — 1080×1350, for Instagram and Facebook feeds
- 3:4 — 1080×1440, for Xiaohongshu
- 1:1 — 1080×1080, for square feed posts
- 16:9 — 1920×1080, for YouTube and LinkedIn
Each size is filled from the centre of the source frame. If the speaker sits far to one side of a landscape shot, keep that clip in 16:9 rather than forcing it into a vertical crop.

Frequently asked questions
How many clips can one job make?
Up to 200 per job. Set the target count and each source is allocated a share by duration.
What about Xiaohongshu covers?
Each clip gets a 3:4 (1080×1440) cover suited to Xiaohongshu; other platforms follow your first aspect ratio.
Can I download everything at once?
Yes. Each job produces a zip with every clip, subtitle file and cover, plus a JSON manifest that records the source, timecode and reason for each clip.
Do I have to render every candidate?
No. Review the ranked list first and lower the target count if you only want the strongest moments.
