What you get from one episode

Upload the episode video and ToClips returns a ranked list of candidate clips. Each candidate has a title, an opening hook, a suggested caption with hashtags and the transcript line that justifies it, so you can decide what to post without scrubbing through the whole recording.

Approved clips render with burned-in captions in the aspect ratios you choose, plus an SRT file and a cover image for each one.

Workflow

  • Upload one or more episode videos (MP4, MOV, WebM or MPEG, up to 5 GB each).
  • Describe the clips in one sentence and set how many you want.
  • Pick 9:16 for short-form platforms and a caption style.
  • Review candidates, adjust boundaries in the editor where needed, then render and download.

Good to know

  • Clips are cut from the video track, so use the video recording rather than the audio-only file.
  • Transcripts have no speaker labels; add guest names to the caption text yourself.
  • Framing is a centre crop, which suits single-camera shots. Wide two-shot angles are better kept in 16:9.

Example one-line briefs

  • “Standalone answers about hiring, under 60 seconds, for LinkedIn.”
  • “The funniest exchanges between the hosts, for TikTok.”
  • “Contrarian opinions a listener would want to argue with.”
  • “Practical tips a beginner can use today, one tip per clip.”

The brief steers what the model looks for and how it writes titles and hooks. Be specific about audience and length; “make viral clips” gives the model nothing to choose with.
