Long-form videos already contain the material for a run of Shorts. ToClips works from the video file rather than a YouTube link: export your own upload from YouTube Studio, or use the original edit from your computer, then let the clipper rank the moments that stand on their own.
Each clip renders at 1080×1920 with captions burned in, ready to upload as a Short, along with an SRT file and a cover image. Select 1:1 or 4:5 as well and the same moments are rendered for feed posts in the same job.
Workflow
- Download the source from YouTube Studio or use your original export (only reuse videos you have the rights to).
- Upload up to 20 videos and choose the YouTube Shorts preset.
- Set the number of Shorts you want; it is shared across videos by length.
- Review titles, hooks and captions, then download clips one by one or as a zip.
Good to know
- Pasting a YouTube link is not supported yet; upload the file.
- Shorts are centre-cropped from landscape footage, which suits talking-head videos best.
- Titles and hashtags are suggestions — edit them before publishing.
Example one-line briefs

A Short that makes sense without the long video performs better and sends more viewers back to it. Review each candidate with that test in mind: would someone who never saw the original understand it?
